Services

  • Purpose

Bore Cladding of interior flow features, like the bore of a large valve, elbow, weldneck flange or block.

  • Method

GTAW-P Hotwire is welded inside the bore to create a protective layer throughout. In industry, this is commonly called HH trim.

  • Benefits

Protects against abrasion and corrosion caused by severe chemicals, extending the life of the components.

  • Application

Often used in machinery, valve, components or pipelines to increase longevity, going from years to decades. This includes Wet-H2S sour service, and CO2 Sweet Service.

  • Purpose

To create component parts that can be used to make a product or structure in a standardized way.

  • Method

It can include layout, measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting, tack welding.

  • Benefits

Fabrication can help speed up the manufacturing process, reduce costs, lower material usage, and offer repeatability.

  • Application

Fabrication is a process leading to boundless and fully customizable applications across industries. We fabricate to specifications like API 6A PSL3, AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3 Severe service and B31.8.

  • Purpose

Inlay adds a protective layer to a pocket cut into a metal object, especially for o-ring seals like a ring groove or raised-face flange.

  • Method

GTAW-P Hotwire is welded inside a ring groove or sealing surface to create a protective layer for a connection. In industry, this is commonly called EE trim.

  • Benefits

Creates a resilient coating on bolted connections, enhancing the seal surface’s durability and corrosion resistance.

  • Application

Ideal for protecting specific areas or surfaces on a metal object, including seals, ring-grooves, seat pockets and metal-on-metal joints.

  • Objective

Imrpvoes the overall surface of a metal component on the outside of it or at either end.

  • Method

GTAW-P Hotwire is welded on the outside of a metal part, permanently sealing machined features like hydraulic flowlines, electrical ports, male-end connections and autoclave ports.

  • Benefits

Ideal for making corrosion resistant and leak-proof seals for sensors, flowlines and male-female pipe sealing connectors.

  • Objective

Pipe Cladding shields the interior of pipes from flowing chemicals for several yards or meters-worth of pipe joint. In service, it can be dozens of feet long or dozens of miles, depending on the application.

  • Method

GTAW Hot Wire Welds the inside of a pipe, often for its full length, end-to-end.

  • Benefits

Improves the pipe’s resistance to corrosion and wear from the inside out. Allows the pipe to be tailored to environmental factors and the inside to be tailored to the product flowing through it.

  • Application

Commonly used in high risk, severe H2S service, methane production, alkaline production, natural gas production with CO2.

  • Objective

To reduce residual stresses, unwanted grain structure and hardnesses in welded parts with heat.

  • Method

Controls baking of metal parts, where the temperature of the part is slowly increased, soaked at a high temperature and slowly cooled down in a controlled manner.

  • Benefits

Minimizes the risk of cracking, corrosion, improves ductility and improves overall structural integrity.

  • Application

Necessary when steels are made with enough carbon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, nickel and copper to dangerously increase their hardenability. Low alloy and high alloy steels must be post weld heat treated to preserve life, equipment and the environment.

Incorporating WPS development and PWHT/Stress Relief into these welding processes contributes to the overall quality and reliability of the welded components.

  • Significance

Qualifies the parameters, variables, and controls for welding in production.

  • Involves

Defining welding parameters, materials, and quality control measures through research and development.

  • Purpose

Ensures consistency and weld quality across different projects and production parts.

  • Necessity

Vital for maintaining welding standards and meeting industry requirements. Necessary when welding to most codes or customer requirements.
